About Us

Our founder

Kylie Wong is founder and CEO of 8 Insights. She was previously managing editor of Ignites Asia, a highly regarded asset management industry publication operated by the Financial Times. Over the past decade, Kylie has scored interviews with countless influential industry figures, such as presidents of the world’s largest pension fund, Japan’s GPIF, and has built sustaining relationships with leaders in  asset management across Asia Pacific. 

Apart from her deep understanding of the asset management landscape in Asia, Kylie also has expertise in content creation, media and client liaison, as well as investor relations. 

Kylie earned her B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Bonita Ho

Bonita is our Chief PR Consultant in Hong Kong. She has more than a decade of experience in formulating strategic public relations plans for listed companies and fund firms in Hong Kong. She worked for international PR firms including Christensen, FTI Consulting and Citigate Dewe Rogerson before founding her own consultancies Foresee Advisory Company Limited and Good News Consulting Company Limited in 2015.

Daisy Cooper

Daisy is our Chief Editorial Consultant in Hong Kong. She has more than 10 years’ experience as a creative and proactive researcher, journalist, public relations and marketing professional. Daisy has held editing and writing positions at Vantage Asia, FinBuzz, Hong Kong Economic Journal, and Euromoney Institutional Investor. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from the University of Hong Kong.

Tiffany Chan

Tiffany is our Chief Marketing Officer in Hong Kong. She is well versed in achieving marketing goals through social media channels, website optimization, and advertising campaigns. She was most recently Regional Associate Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific at Crayola and Marketing Executive at L’Oreal in Hong Kong. She earned her B.B.A in Marketing and Finance from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dawn Lee

Dawn is our Director of Public Relations. She has more than a decade of experience in financial communications and crisis management. During her tenure with Financial PR, she led and participated in two high-profile short-selling cases and award-winning copywriting projects, as well as provided a wide range of PR, IR and corporate governance consulting services to Hong Kong-listed companies. Prior to starting her PR profession, Dawn worked for two top-tier corporate law firms, namely Sidley Austin LLP and Fried Frank.

Mavis So

Mavis is our London-based Operations Manager. She has more than a decade of experience in customer service and administrative support. She was most recently Operations Manager at Eight Times International Limited, 8 Insights’ parent company. Before that, she was Customer Service Manager at amika in Hong Kong and Customer Service Executive at the Financial Times in Hong Kong for seven years. She has a B.S. in Psychology from the Upper Iowa University.

Daniel is our Strategic Partner in China. He is an experienced marketing and communications professional who has worked in Hong Kong, China and Japan for more than a decade. Earlier in his career he was a journalist covering Asian markets and China’s financial system for the Wall Street Journal and FinanceAsia. In 2015, he set up Vermilion Asia, a marketing and communications consultancy in Shanghai, and has since worked extensively with a diverse range of clients in both the financial and consumer sectors.
